It seems like he trying to get justification to use spl tiles over spectrum (4-6 layers) as bracing. That's a horrible idea.

With all the money you’ve spent on doing these billion of layers of various materials, you could have bought lead sheets and REALLY solidified your door to the point that both a) the door hinges will not support the weight even in the closed position and b) your car will be like a casket buried 10ft in the ground with nothing but by Osmium surrounding it.

I feel like I've lost IQ as a result of reading this thread... Wooden dowels has to be the WORST idea I've ever heard for bracing the doors. Your door's sheet metal is thin, right? And it vibrates, right? So just imagine what a rigid dowel is gonna do to that poor door skin. I hope you have a knack for body work.
