i need advice on how to do the window

my idea is

- outside of box - 1/2" wood with design - sealent/glue - 1/4" plexi (screwed down for extra strength) - inside of box

would that work?

I dont exactly understand what you mean by 1/2" of wood and then 1/4" plexi? So it isnt going to be a complete window? Will it be some design cut out in wood?

What program did you use for the basic design of your box? It looks like a cool setup

i didn't make the design

no the wood will be cut out like the pic, and then on the inside a rectangle with be routed down a 1/4 so that the plexi sits flush in the hole, thus it doens't effect the tuning of the box (the plexi would be a rectangle)

yeah id use atleast 1/2" plexi....but if you got 3/4" MDF and router'ed out the edge you should be good...then you can just flush mount the plexi.
yeah thats what i said i was gonna do

cut the design out all the way though the box, then on the inside route out a 12"x12" square and insert the lexan/plexi

i going to have a box with plexi check out how mine is going to look. I orderd some 3/4 plexi that is 13.5 x 13.5 so it can sit flush with the box. your going to be able to see 12 x 12 of the window.

How big is the actual plexi window going to be ? 2500w to a pair of subs is going to flex acrylic. 1/4" would probably actually get blown out of the enclosure. 1/2" would work provided the panel isn't that big. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

im gonna use LEXAN, which is stonger then plexi

and the figure will be about 10"-10.5"tall (unknown width), and wont be super wide, the LEXAN will be bigger then the figure being as it is gonna be a 12"x12" square (on the inside of the box), and will be sealed, glued, and screwed down, that ***** aint going no where

plexi, lexan, are both acrylics which is what I was reffering to. It's not a matter of it coming unattached. It's a matter of flexing and breaking under the pressure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
