ok guys. i am in a crucial point im my life... i am deciding if i should go with two 10w6's with a 500 watt hifonics amp... or spend th extra money and get two 10 or 12 solobaric l7's with like an 800-1000 watt amp. is it worth it ?!?!?!? bum bum bum... driving a 95 2 door yukon... i am also deciding if i should buy some infinity kappa 6 1/2 components or go with some MB quarts for the extra money. eeeek also if anyone has any of this sort of equipment to sell let me know plz

what about this bro....get the 10w6's and get a bigger amp...so instead of spending the extra money on the solo's and the bigger amp...you save somewhat....I would go with a 15 though in a yukon or 2 12's...get the infinity kappas

yeah i do plan on getting a new amp no matter what. But **** man i listened to a couple 12 inch solo l7's today and they sound goooood. but hey you guys know alot more than me so im open to almost anything.also about that elemental design sub, the only thing that worries me about those is ive never seen them or heard of them before... why is that? and how good are they? and would it be better to go with one of those over 2 solos? and o im full of questions lol

hehehe yes i was hoping that would make at least 1 person laugh. but the solos were in a large sealed box... dont really know the specs.. didnt get to really look at it it was in the back of the salesmans car

nah dude... i thought so too the solos go on ebay for like eh 300 for 2 12's w6's go for much less... but i must say the solos sound better

I have heard nothing but good things about the edk subs...might wanna check out the 15's and the 9.1 amp?

the solos will be a ton louder, the w6 won't copare if you feed the solos the prroper wattage.

I've had both W6's and L7's and I must say, those solo barics can take a beating. They eat pure power and they can pound..then again I've blown two o of them. Also the way I've seen it that if you buy two L7's 12's on ebay you can get them for abour $300 when the W6V2 12's go for around 350-400. SO i would go for the solo barics, if you heart is set on them.

If you are pushing a Yukon I would also consider one 15 ie. Brahma or XXX, I also heard but not experienced those 18 Solo Baric X are pretty decent.

I have a f150 with 5x7's in the doors. my first replacement was boston acoustic 2 way 5x7's. they were decent, but i wouldn't recomend them. then i bought the infinity kappa 2 way 5x7's. mainly because they claimed 100 rms. they sounded a whole lot better than the B A's, but i wouldn't recommend 100rms. more like 50.( i had 100rms and the crossover internals literally blew up. i took my door panel off and it was in like 3 pieces) I finally decided to just get an alpine type r 6.5 component set. i had custom plates built and got them installed. i must say they get the highest rating. i have already convinced 7 people into replacing theirs just from hearing mine. as far as sq goes, i have never heard better. Also i talked about mb quart with some other car audio guys and they all said that they sound awesome at first, but 6 months later they started to lose their crispness. just something to think about.

My personal preference is phoenix gold. i just sold a 600.2 ti. i paid almost 600 for it and i sold it for 250. i wanted an exhaust on my truck real bad, so i just got rid of the amp. the birth certificate said it was 630 rms@4 ohms and 1200rms @ 2 ohms. it was a badass amp. I blew a 12L7 with it, but i think the eclosure had something to do with it. anyway as far as sub amps go, i recommend the phoenix gold titanium series like i had.

Dont think anyone has used the ed 9.1, but its supposed to be a bada$$ for a good price! kicker amps are great....and the fosgate bd1500.1....
