Impedence matching and they are built to be as colorless as possible.

Dont all pre-amps do the same thing? I mean, as long as it isnt a terrible design, it should fine, right? The same issue with amps...or maybe im missing something:crap:

Basically a receiver w/o a built in amplifier. Quality is important, and yes, Adcom makes a pretty mid fi pre-amp.
