Pure idiocy...

No. What's stupid is overestimating personal disposition and placing no value on the severity of the situation simply because your feeble, narrow-minded view of reality can't even begin to comprehend what they're going through. It's a perfect example of the social attritbution theory.
I dont know how severe this is? Bull shit, if i didnt then i wouldnt have made a thread about it. Do you know what there going threw, or just acting like it? You cant blame being delusional for shooting at a **** helicopter...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I never brought up anything about politicians. When I said U.S., I simply meant the people of the United States, through donations and various other acts, we will help them through this as a nation. You'd be suprised at what people do for one another when a disaster strikes, some of the things I heard on the radio during both hurricanes here in FL last year were unbelievable. If someone had a problem, in many circumstances, numerous citizens offered help. These people have to have patients in a time where patients is something very hard to have. Things aren't going to get better over night, but if they give them time, gradually things will work out.
people can only donate and attempt to help as long as they realize there is indeed a problem. When they stop airing it, how will people know?

I guess I have to go into deep detail everytime I make a generalization to get my point across. I can look out my office door and see people helping, I was 30minutes late to work because of the buses entering the astrodome and all the people holding sign etc..believe me, i know what people are doing to help..

im not trying to sit here and argue with you...im not ashamed im a bit emotional about what ive been seeing for the past couple of days at work, so Packerfans bs ideal on whats happening kinda triggered me to start..i dont have anything else to say about this.

110 in a building for 8 hours straight working my *** off with 100% humidity, completely different...C O M P R E H E N S I O N...
peshtigo/krivitz are about 4 hours north of me and the weather is much better up there...

i'm sure there is running water where you work and a pot to pise in and after your 8 hours you get to go sleep in your bed and cook yourself a meal. imagine being trapped in your job with no electricity and people pissing and shitting on the floor, nothing to eat or drink and you'll know how the people feel in the superdome. shit one guy even committed ******* in the dome. i live in michigan and the weather can't be any hotter there and i can only imagine how hot and humid is down there. sure there are gonna be your assholes. that's what happens when disaster strikes the ghetto.

**edit** i work in factory, so i know a little something about working my *** off in the heat.

People will donate and attempt to help out just like they did when the tsunami hit over near indonesia. Don't under estimate the power of the people. But I seriously doubt people are going to be as willing to go over and help with kaos going on. Still people are donating to the red cross and various other charities, and when it's time to rebuild, I'm sure there will be people helping out then also.

This sounds great in theory, but it's not practical at this point in time.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I never mentioned anything about shooting a helicopter, or being delusional as a justification. My point was that none of us would have any idea what we'd do if we were in that situation. It's impossible to even comprehend the destruction itself, let alone how we would behave if we were subject to it. It's irrational to expect people who have had every single aspect of their lives ruined, with absolutely no hope for the future thus far, to sit back calmly and say to themselves "everything will be ok if I just stay here and don't do anything." The chances of everything being ok anyways aren't that particularly good right now.

I think there would be a better outlook on things if communication was a little bit better. It's one thing to lose everything you have, but not knowing where or which way to go can make it that much worse. I know during the hurricanes here in FL, communication was not that good either, and people panicked a little more during the first storm, than the second, where communication was a little better. So I can understand that they are angry , frustrated, and sad, but that doesn't justify law breaking. So while patience is hard to come by, they are going to have to come to a realization that it is the only way that things can get done more efficiently.

I agree, but it's unrealistic to expect that at this point in time. The people still left are swimming through gasoline and dead bodies, haven't slept/ate/drank clean water in 4 days, have no idea what is going on anywhere, are being passed over by rescue workers because they haven't been deemed sick enough to warrant immediate help, and have no hope that any part of their lives will return to any form of normalcy in the future.

No matter what government officials are saying about trying their hardest or giving it their best somebody here definitely has dropped the ball (or if you prefer, has shit the bed). We are able to cross the world to rescue a Russian sub in 24 hours but we can't rescue an American city. At least we could air drop food and water for the stranded people, we've done that under much more violent conditions for the Vietnamese villages.

Granted what some of those animals have done is not justifiable but those people feel like their running out of options. Their only form of control in this situation is the threat of violence. They haven't seen any significant progress in days at a "hurricane shelter" and their sick and tired of being jerked off, I definitely comprehend their thought process. Babies and old people are dieing in front of their eyes so their taking drastic measures.

Lol. You guys seem to forget that every Mardi Gras there are like 30 deaths. These people were never saints to begin with. New Orleans has one of the highest murder and crime rates in the world.

However, there are still many good people still trapped, and they deserve whatever help we can offer, reguardless of all the idiots looting. Those whose homes actually survived the storm, lost everything they had to the looters. Thats what pisses me off the most.

These guys need help. Plain and simple.

Hell let them loot all they want, are the places they are looting from going to be able to use those products when they finally get their store back up and running? Probably not. Who the fvck cares if its black or white people....its people with no home, no food, no water, fearing for their lives. In a time like this your bullsh!t morals go out the window and your human instinct to survive kicks in.

you sir........are a fvcking fool. fema and other organizations are busting their balls to help. why are u going to spare a cityt under water with noone there before the cities they evacuated to? fvck teh "help the coast and new orleans" the people farther north need power and water and gas to live. the people that evacuated will benefit fro mteh restoration as much as anyone, and they wont come to see that in reality because they are so narrow minded and self centered. theres no reason they should see improvement in new orleans or the coast......there is soooooo much damage it will take months to see ANY kind of improvement. i dont think any logically smart person would have stayed there if they had the chance and ability to leave. need some way to leave so they car jack?? give me a ****in BREAK! i need gas to get to and from work, but im not stealing cars. once someone told me i had to right my identification on my skin in permanant marker, i would have LEFT! i dont care who u are, if u stayed in new orleans wililngly and u are *****ing about food and water..............please shut the **** up. if u die...u die....

I'm sure nobody really has a problem with them taking what they need to survive, but when these thugs pull up and take all the guns and things they don't need, that creates a major problem. There is only one reason they are stealing guns and other weapons, and that's to create problems. Everyone realizes the catastrophic event they are going through, but help is not going to be as efficient, if they have to worry about rescuers lives and others trying to help out. Pathetic, people over there shooting one another and raping each other. It's bad enough they are going through what they are going through, then these women have to deal with being rapped. Hopefully there is some form of intelligence over to put those fools in there grave.
