My point was that none of us would have any idea what we'd do if we were in that situation. It's impossible to even comprehend the destruction itself, let alone how we would behave if we were subject to it. It's irrational to expect people who have had every single aspect of their lives ruined, with absolutely no hope for the future thus far, to sit back calmly and say to themselves "everything will be ok if I just stay here and don't do anything." The chances of everything being ok anyways aren't that particularly good right now.</blockquote>
