I bought the following:

Alpine Head Unit CD-105

Alpine Head Unit Power Pack KTP-445

Alpine 6x9"s SPR-69

Alpine 5.25" Components SPR-50C

It's actually a coincidence that I bought Alpine. I actually just realized that now, haha.

What do you guys think?

It would probably sound ok running off KTP-445, though I would prefer not to buy it or the rear speaker, and instead buy a good external 4-channel amplifier to power the front stage and a subwoofer.

If you don't want a dedicated subwoofer box, a better option for the rear speakers would be the Tang Band 6x9 subwoofer driver sold by parts-express. The good thing about it is that if you crank it up, it will not shift the sound stage to the rear by a lot. But if you crank up your rear alpines, or for that matter, any other coaxial speaker to produce more bass, it will shift the sound stage to the rear due to highs being played from it. The only problem about that Tang Band driver is that it is 8ohm, single voice coil, so two would have to be wired in parallel and connected to a 4ohm source instead of running in mono. Regarding the Alpines in front front, I think they're decent. The good thing about them is that they respond to bass eq very well without losing their composure, as long as your doors are sound proof so they don't rattle.

everyone i have been looking for some help with this same set up i have a 2007 crew cab silverado and want to get two Alpine Type-R SPR-60C for the front and two Alpine Type-R SPR-60 for the rear and then run them off the KTP 445 wired into a pioneer AVH P4300. does this not sound like a good idea? i do not want to wire a amp this is why the KTP 445 sounded good and i am looking for loud highs and good mid bass. i would go down to the type s speakers but i hear the bass is quite weak on them? any opinions will help

Thanks!
