Punishment for Fake ID??

in many states, they're allowed to keep your id. if you want to argue with them, they call a cop and he verifies whether or not its valid.

its the exact opposite in cali. Having a fake ID is a misdemeanor and using someone else's real ID is a felony. I think it is classified as Identity theft or impersonating another individual or something like that.

correct... I don't have full deatails but I from what I can gather he was buying the beer at a gas station and then "trucking it through the lobby of the hotel they were staying at in a bookbag". I guess he made to many trips?? but" the hotel security gaurd stopped him" now heres where I didn't get a clear storry...... I heard that he was asked for his ID and "went to the room and got it" but I think happened is he was stopped by the gaurd asked what was in the bag. gaurd saw BEER asked for the ID and he gave him his REAL ID and then he asked how he got it, downhill from there. I dunno the FULL story and wont till I hear from my brother again. but all I know is "Dan" got arrested and is in Jail
