I put a screwdriver through my CL-61a's.. dissapointing.. basically I've got a centimeter hole in the cone but I'm wondering how this will affect anything.. Is there a band-aid kit out there for this kind of stuff or does it even matter? Speakers still work fine but I'm not experienced enough to know whether or not the hole will 100% **** my speakers up

A cm hole? Patching it with silicone might fix it, but if it gets worse, there's really no fix other than sending it in for a recone.

It's happened to all of us at one point or another...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Crazy glue the missing chunk back into place, allow 12 hours to fully cure, wang like hell again.

been there done that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

alritey.. theres not really a missing chunk as much as a chunk just happened to recede into the back.. i suppose ill stick it together with crazy clue.. stones that should set me right? hopefully its a perfect fix.. what would happen if i just left it alone anyway?

I used nail polish on an Arc mid that I had a drill tip accident with and mid is still playing and cone is intact a year and a half later- half that time with a 300x2 amp on the comp set, no difference in sound or strange noises. A cm?lol try a good 3/4" flap....

I've always told and used nail polish on the smaller sizes 6.5" and down and silicone on sizes 8" and up. A tip, When you cut out (IF you cut it out, prefab box, just use scrap) the hole for the sub, drill a 1/4" to 3/8" hole in the middle of the round piece of wood. Place that over the screwq hole on the sub and insert screw. I always do this now, If I happen to slip, I hit the wood, not the sub.

duck tape, gum, a post it, a stamp, the sticky tag that comes on pants showing the size, the stickers inside the craker jack box.....etc. any of these will not work!

nah j/k man, sillcone will definitely do the trick. And if your neat enough, use Resin, IF you know how to use it correctly.

i hate silicon. they just dont feel real enough for me after they get that stuff. oh and if its a sloppy job, that is just a major turn off. but if the job looks nice and they still bounce when moderate activity occurs, i guess that is ok.

^^ Silly emo... Lol
