punch Hx2

im planning on putting a punch hx2 into my '87 integra hatchback...what size should my box be? 2cu ft? 3 cu ft? im planning on tuning it to around 35-40hz, and im looking into running it off either the rockford punch 550 or a jbl bp600(is a 1200 too much power???)

What is the voice coil configuration of the subs?

im guessing your bulding a ported box by those sizes. 1200 isnt to much power for 2 of them. my friend has 2 of them runnin at 1ohm off the jbl1200.1 sounds good but hes got a sealed box. 1.25 cubic feet

I only ask what the coil configuration is because I wanna figure out how many watts it would actually be PER COIL at a certain load....if you have a 1200.1 on 2 subs you're not actually getting 1200 watts to each sub remember....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

EDIT: Alright I need to smack myself in the head...I just re-read the original post AGAIN....I thought he was putting in two subs not one....

Yeah 2 cubes should be good for one sub....I'd tune near the lower end of your range though for some crazy lows...

and you should be fine with a 1200.1 on it....

what size hx2? and if its a punch thats too much but if its a power hx2 itll be ok.. if punch thats too much.
