Punch 60ix DSM specs

I've had this sitting around in the garage for about 8 years and my son wants to put it in his car now. I was going to run a 10" sub with it but I don't remember what the actual output was. I know they were very under rated. I thought they were like 125 x 2 @ 2ohms or am I dreaming?? Also are they 2ohm stable??

I got a 40i DSM too. What the heck does DSM stand for.

Got a couple of 1980's Alphasonic a MA2070 and a A2065 were those just as under rated? I've been out of the loop for a while here as you can see.

DSM = Discreet Surface Mount technology, i.e. the micro resistors and what not on the circuit board.

I want to say the 60ix could produce about 300 watts RMS bridged @ 4 ohms. I know the Punch 40ix would do about 180 watts RMS @ 4 ohms bridged. Results vary between amps, but it will be + or - 10 to 15%.

Naturally, when it comes to actual stereo power results will vary too. It would be safe to assume that the Punch 60ix produces about 75 watts per channel RMS at 4 ohms and 150 at 2 ohms stereo. The punch 40ix should produce 45 watts per channel RMS at 4 ohms and about 90 watts per channel at 2 ohms stereo.

Hope this helps.

ETA: Your Alphasonik amps should be under rated too, but I just don't know by how much. Back in those days, amplifiers were usually rated to produce a minimum RMS figure. IIRC, the number after the model series dictated the RMS power figure. Example: The MA2070 was 70x2 and the A2065 was 65 x 2.
