Seriously, anyone who frequents this site. You can ignore members. You won't see their posts, you can't hear their ignorant rambling, it's ******* bliss.

Do yourself a favor, use the ignore feature. I've only used it once and my time here is much more enjoyable. Mods are non-existent so we as a community should find other ways to solve problems.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and actions. I'm not telling anyone to ignore anyone specifically, just trying to spread the word that there is a simple button to click that will silence any members whom you wish didn't exist.

I had some ignored, but always wound up clicking "show ignored posts". Otherwise you lose a lot of context. Now if only ignoring prevented them from disliking your posts.

In the old days, most of these clowns wouldn’t have lasted a week. It was rough haha. But man it was literally like crack. It got me through my 16 hour shift oil field days.

Willful ignorance is just denial with extra steps.

Ive always felt that blocking/ignoring someone equates to low mental-fortitude, and consequently, affords said individuals a false sense of moral highground to grandeurize upon.

Never will i give some waterhead that satisfaction... i just rebut and let them block me.

I can understand and respect that decision. But for me it's not about giving them satisfaction. I'm choosing to ignore people that are incapable of rational or constructive thought. They provide nothing of use to me, nor any conversation I participate in.

I come here to talk about/help people with something I enjoy. I have been on here for going on 15 years(maybe? idk when I joined actually). And in those 15 years I have only come across a single person that I ignored using the feature.

"don't feed the trolls" is something we used to say. In this case, I'm choosing to lock it in the void so it can't even speak to me.

Different strokes for different folks,... as long as it suits you, its no concern of mine.

My statement was rather general, but some elaboration is warranted to the effect of individuals who always default to blocking everything/one they dont like or disagree with.

Thats a sad existence, imo.

You have a uniquely effective way of wording things, but I disagree on this subject. Less-intelligent people are more likely to claim themselves the victor, which means you just waste more energy by engaging with them.

LOL, the saying "never get into a battle of wits with someone dumber than you. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience." comes to mind.

I'm happy to have an intelligent argument all day long, but i just can't argue with someone spouting nonsense. And it eats away at my insides to not correct horrible misinformation. Yea, I know some people don't know any better. Ignorance can be taught. Stupidity is forever.
