Yeah I got rid of the last two and avoided eBay. I called my old high school coach/athletic director and told him I would give him 40% of the profits if he could come up with a good idea on how to raffle.
He ended up getting 55 kids to sell 5 tickets each (275) for $15 a piece ($4,125)...that left about $2,400 for me and he kept the rest.
He is in the process of raffling off the 2nd one...
eBay IS NOT the way to go for PS3's if you want money. If I didn't think of this, I would've been pretty much hosed. I was going to attempt to raffle one on here but my coach said he could do another, plus I don't think it'd go over well on here.
That's my update!!
So assuming I get the same response for this raffle, my final count will be.
$4,800 for 2 of them
$900 (already minus eBay fees) for one
$1,200 one sold locally
1 for my engagement ring
1 basically free Ps3 for me
I wish I would've thought of the raffle sooner..would've made a bit more but I still made $, got a free PS3 and a pretty nice engagement ring out of the deal
