My first Xbox 360 was hooked up and died within 1 hour and was in the open and had plenty of air. The 2nd 360 lasted about 1 1/2 month's and started freezing up everytime I would play a game and it eventually got the red rings. The 3rd 360 took me about a month to get from Microsoft but it was basically brand new or they just put a new date on it but again it only lasted a couple hours before I got the red rings. The 4th I got and sold to my brother and he has had it for about 3-4 months now and it is starting to freeze up on every game he play's so I assume it's about to go it. None of these setup's had any 3rd party heatsinks or attachments and they were all out in the open and had plenty of breating room. Don't really see how it's anything to blame other then a POS system when it basically comes out the box and goes straight to RROD after a hour or so.

Then that was a bad shipment or two. My 360 has been trouble free from day one. Only had two friends who had a brand new one go out. The rest were either refurbs or kept in such shitty environments it was a matter of "when", not "if".
