I guess i might be buying a ps3 so i need some good info about it. Why is it considered to be better than the 360? And how is the online compared to the 360? Is the online free? I just need to hear some awesoe things about it before i buy one. Thanks

I have both, and all my friends have both, I have played the PS3 maybe 10 times and my friends the same. The unit itself is NICE! But when it comes to online play....nothing will beat the 360, and also game selection for the 360 is a bit better. Sorry PS3 boys

And I hear that microsoft has Bluray in the making for the 360!!!!

Ps3 online is fine, and to be honest i have been disapointed as of late as my 360 has been very laggy online.

I have both, and I play the 360 more because of the game selection

my ps3 does a great job at blu ray

it seems like most of the 360 games that come out are just horrible though. The only 360 games i play are cod4 and gta4 along with some madden when it comes out. I guess that rainbow six vegas was good too, but i heard the ps3 has much better games when it comes to single player and all their sports games are better as well. I dont know, i dont want to blow 300 bucks if its not worth it.

How much better are the graphics on the ps3 on a hd tv?

The graphics shouldn't really be any different. But if NCAA 09 was a sign of how EA Sports is doing there games don't expect the PS3 to look as good as it was only a 720P game on PS3 where as on 360 it was 1080p. You really need to just try out both because everyone is bias. You have PS3 fan boys and you have XBox 360 fan boys. I made the switch to PS3 once I started going through so many 360's due to RROD. I went through 3 360's in 6 months so once I got my 4th one I sold it and the guy that has it now informed me he is having freezing issues and think's it's about to go out.

Developers don't like making cross platform games for the PS3 because it's too hard to develop for. Though the 360 has its faults, its a tried and true performer, and now comes out of the box full HD ready. If you're looking for a great gaming console, then go with the 360. If you're looking for a decent media center, then go with the PS3.

I jst bought a ps3 and the main reason was, because almost EVERYONE I know that has a 360 has gotten the red ring of death. A few have gotten it 3 times.....I know microsoft extended the warrenty on the units, atleast I think they did. But I jst couldnt make myself buy it. I have had good luck with the ps3 so far.

You can't go wrong with either system. As 95ZJ stated both have flaws. If you get a 360 just make sure to get the Elite since I have seen far less of them getting red rings of death. The PS3 will be a good all around system it's just with Sony and the 10 year plan it will be a little while before they really start using it to it's full potential.

Ive gone through 4 xbox 360s, they all got Red light of death. Even the elite version i currently have, i have all had them on coolers to and rarely ever played them. My room mate got a ps3 earlier this week and the Xbox isnt coming back to college this year. Hope that helps share my insight on the PS3 and Xbox

i already have 360, but i am intrested in a ps3 mostly for sports games and a few campaign based single player games like metal gear solid and stuff. Also, blu ray, i guess.

After doing some research, both games are 720p, the difference lies in the fact that the graphics chip in the 360 upconverts it to a 1080p signal, and we all know how well upconvert really works.

I also read the IGN review and they gave both games the same rating, both graphically and for gameplay.

I really was intrigued by this, because I know the PS3's processing power absolutely destroys the 360 so i couldn't figure out why the 360 would have a better picture. In all reality its a moot point.
