Theres no reason it shouldnt work, but I dont have a ps3 to try it on.

if someone really wants it maybe ill run it to gamestop to make sure it works.

Got the controller hooked up to a pc and let it charge. The red lights flash to sync to a console so it atleast still turns on and charges.
