protruding pvc port

I'm in the process right now of building a pvc ported box. There is only 2.5" of space from the bottom of the box to the end of the port. I'm using 4" pvc. The only way to get out of my problem is to let the port stick out a little.

Is this going to be a problem with my tuning frequency?

No, it may look alittle funny sticking out like that. But it shouldn't mess with the tuning. Make sure you leave enough room at the bottom of the port (inside the box). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

just as long as you calculate port displacement correctly it wont change the tuning

Make sure you subtract the amount of port not in the box from the volume. Ie if .03 cf is protruding, you need to subtract from volume of box. Otherwise tuning will be off.
