Project Vetkilr. Worklog with Pics. Plugged box that is 2.2 @ 29 HZ (for now)

anyway enough of that, here are some more pics..

heres a good clean shot of the front of the box. in the end, the front is double baffeled. in this pic it is not.

22-****thatsaratherlargesquare.jpg

here is the beginning of the second baffle. I had to do it in 2 pieces (the second baffle) because one half, is the sub baffle, or where the sub mounts, the other half is the port, itself.

and the hole for the sub

and there are many more where those came from

but on to the port.

i had to build a port, with all 4 walls, as it is removable, so it must be a self contained port.

and here is what the port looks like, just sitting in the box. It was more of a test fit than anything.

Now what we have here is the flush trim baffle for the port itself........the port is attached to this, meaning that yes, the port has its own baffle.

and here, is the port in the box, port is nice and rounded off, to help with port noise

46-vettemplate.jpg

heres a shot deep inside the box

47-portfromtheinside.jpg

the port is .5 inches from the back wall (as they all will be)

49-ledinsidethebox.jpg

Painted it black......because thats just the thing to do

thanks for all the positivity. its appriciated.

Positivity FTW..

heres some more pics, i am uploading new ones to photobucket and i made the max size 256 so it should resize all the ones that i put up after these next couple of posts.

heres a better shot of it all

51-abettershotofitall.jpg

and it just looks like the port goes on forever

and the first hint of just a little bit of carpet....

even the test box has to look nice!

56-Theportiscarpeted.jpg

here are some more carpeted pics.

the front, and back, are both completely rounded off, but for some unlknown reason i didnt get any pics of the ***** rounded edges, but you can see most of it showing in the pics.

here you go

61-frontcoveredincarpet.jpg

I obviously had to carpet the box, and the port seperate, as one is removable.

that line in the middle tha tyou see is the stepdown from the double baffeled section, to the single baffle (where the port sits)

62-subholeiscutout.jpg

heres a good shot of the side..

64-sides.jpg

the front is finished....but portless

65-frontcomplete.jpg

Second side

66-side.jpg

You can see the rounded edge here.....it makes for a much much better feel.

heres a good shot of the roundness of the corner....and inside my house

lol

dryfit of one of the sides

72-drysidefit.jpg

Rounded edges, but more important, weatherstripping will provide a good, non permanent seal for the port

Shot of the port attached to the box.

the 1/2 inch thick 3/4 inch wide weatherstripping used for this
