Project: Taurus Log

Whoopie!

Sorry, this picture is crooked... lol:

This was my first HU install. My JVC was installed professionally. The install was supprisingly very easy, I'm glad!

I want it!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

not too bad i see the two little holes on the first pic, what is the u shaped part on the second pic?
Actually, the two little holes you see in the first pic are supposed to be there. I'll be running power/speaker/RCA wires through those.

The second pic is a close up of the top of the first pic. Thats the hole that I had to sand down.

I used a DrillSand and a 'custom' sanding block:

I like the sanding block. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Nope, just got back from a 15 person poker tournament... I got 4th //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif No $ for muah...

edit: Anyways, my first priority is to get the flush panel done. I got all the pinholes filled and I'm 99% done sanding with 60 grit.

have you tryed an orbital sander?, it make those surfaces nice an clean way faster then a sanding block, they are worth the money and and saves you the elbo grease. lol

how much did you loose on pocker?

Well the only thing I need the sanding block for is to get the waves out of the surface, I only used it for ~10 minutes. I asked my buddy if I could borrow his belt sander, but he's using it. That would've made the sanding go by 10x faster... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Oh, the poker game was only a $5 game. The pot was big, though, there were 10 people playing.

Sanded with 240 and primed:

There are a couple drips, but I'll sand those down with 240/360 before painting. I'm going to have my cousin-in-law paint it for me, since he used to be in the autobody business.

is looking good but i would do way more sanding with the lower grid paper before moving on to the 100+ paper. it maybe the picture but its still looking rough.

but in a nice kind of way. lol.
