Progress!!!!

I had some issues fitting the angle-cut pieces together. Apparently, the skillsaw didnt want to make straight cuts. The blade must have flexed during the cuts or something, but either way it took some sanding, and it will take some wood filler for a gap or two that is present //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

either way, the box is coming together finally. It still needs a lot of touching up before it gets paint, but its coming along nicely.

You can see what i mean on that last picture, where the baffle meets the port wall

Come this weekend, i'll start to put all the goodies in the truck too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Im a civil engineering major.
Ahh, I thought they looked familiar. Thats what I am, graduated last year and been working full time since. Its certainly an interesting field, I enjoy it but just wish I was out in the field more and not stuck in an office all day doing autocad.

Build looks sweet, one of these days I wanna stack boxes of gear up like that and take a pic lol.

Box is looking sweet too, gonna be amazing when its done, specially when lit up with the LED's. What are you planning on painting/finishing the visible part of the box with? Looking forward to the finished product //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

where are u at in Wa?
btw nice HU, got the same one going into my Acura on friday.
Living in Pullman right now. Go cougs! My parents have a place over in Poulsbo.

Yeah im pumped about the HU. I've never used a double din before, and its got all the bells and whistles built in.

No progress today sadly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Too much homework. However, i did drop by the hardware store to pick up some wood filler for the few muff-ups/gaps on the box, as well as some silicone, paint, and primer. The dash bezel also came in today.

Which color should i paint the bezel? I have a charcoal interior, and i think im going to go with a metallic black.

isnt that bezel going to hit the bottom part of the dash where the cig lighter/ ash tray is? I was thinking you had to get the knee panel as well as the panel below the glove box to make the bezel fit right? maybe i am missing something.
