Project on the blazer = 8 Kicker Comps In the Back

Just went out, bought 8 kicker comps for the hell of it for $500. Throwin in all these 12's tonite, gonna keep workin on gettin pix and posting up.

Just bought the MDF, and workin on how the ports and shits gonna lay out in the back. Goin tomorrow to get my alternator built to 250 amps and buyin a yellowtop and redtop. Peaceeee

If we want 2 kicker comps to be in the same box and use the same port, how do we calculate the port volume? Double it, half it? What? Help us out ASAP

How about this, Im gonna wall 4 on each side facing in... If I have the ports in the middle of all four facing the opposite wall will they cancel eachother out by blowin into eachother or w/e???

That JL link you gave me, can you just please explain that in "stupid talk"... What can I do for the port for 2 subs in teh same box. Double the portsize of just one or how do we find out the size.

if you have separate chambers then they need to ported separately. there isn't a portsize for one sub, it all depends on how you want to tune the box. no offense, but did you even read the JL site? everything is explained in plain english.

Sorry it was a LONG *** NITE... Worked til 7 am and finished that *****. Gonna have pix up ASAP, they are on my laptop with no internet, just gotta transfer em with a cd or USB. Sounds straight, just workin on the port more gotta get it tuned better. If anyone in the rochester,ny area wants to help us out wit this lemme kno. I'm broke as a mother****er, and we need to build this ourselves.

As of now, My alternator basically died when i turend it on haha, so we g2 upgarde that this week. Gettin a 250 amp alt, and a yellow top. There's TONSSSS of ****kin air and vibration in the back seats but not as much up in the front. It's basiaclly the same as my 2 SX 12"s in the front, but in the back its a diff story. G2 reseal the box and double it up or something because all the sides of 3/4 mdf are flexing like crazy. The top of my roof even flexes now, it's hott but not the frequency I want right now.
