Progress on my Ported Enclosure (Pictures)

I only build because I really enjoy it, but like lemans said it seems like you're in it for the money.I would highly recommend working on better cuts. Not trying to "rail" on you but rather give you advice.

One of the first steps to a nice box is nice cuts.I also recommend counter sinking.Makes a box look much cleaner IMO.And try not to make it look so sloppy on the outside with the wood glue.Other than that, keep at it and you'll get better.

Also, if you want to have success selling your services, I highly recommend you type out complete words.Punctuation as well.No one wants to buy a box from someone who uses "l337" talk all the time.Try to have at least SOME professionalism.

come on let not get racial here guys and gals it is uncalled for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and pv is a great designer i have seen his work on here i would trust him to build me anything and would recomend him to any one even though it seems we argue all the time on here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I bought some plans from PV about a month ago and he messed up one of the dimensions on a port wall, I asked him about it, then he gave me another incorrect dimension.

He was very appologetic about it, but I don't plan on buying plans from him in the future.

ive broken a few of the ones with drill bits so i finally got one of these.

4. Seal with silicone, but do NOT put the speaker in it while the silicone isn't dry. Ever wonder why the fumes burn your nose when you smell inside the box? Imagine what that's doing to the speaker.
Not to throw gas on the fire, but if your cuts are good enough you shouldn't need silicone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You do not need a counter-sink bit to be able to recess the screw heads. I just use a drill bit that is the size of the screw head and go down maybe an 1/8" or less. Basically does the same thing with out spending extra money.

Of course not, I don't have any leaks, but i'm always paranoid..plus I get it for literally nothing because my sister's bf works there....he just buys it for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

...That's exactly what I was talking about Dante...

Oh lol, just saw a pic of a countersink, so i took a pic of mine real quick, uploaded it and wanted to post it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

also you can find these in Home Depot in the tools section. They sell a variety of them bro.

no pics of jordan yet? aww shucks.

I understand that.. but im not sellin this box.. so i guess it doesnt really matter now does it
It does matter because you should take pride in the work you do, no matter who it's for. This is OT but this is a car I detailed (my other hobby) for someone else.

some people couldn't care less about how something looks as long as it works the way they want. Function over form.

I myself would want it to be as perfect as possible. Function AND form.

Detailing a car...anyone can do. Working with wood is not for everyone. Takes practice. I can pay the little kids near my house 5 bucks and they will detail the hell out of my car or motorcycle.
