Program to search emails?

I use Outlook Express but want to find older emails. Is there an add on I can use to have enable a search function. Something where I can type in a word/phrase and it scans all the emails searching for that word/phrase??

Outlook blows. Import your stuff into Thunderbird, or use something like X1 (boolean ftw) to search your emails. You might even be able to set Windows to index files with unknown extensions, I did it to search PHP and JS scripts natively so it might do the same with whatever retarded format OE uses.

Use a real email client like Outlook or Thunderbird, not express.

I know google has a program or toolbar that has this feature...there are people that have it here at work.

What IS the issue with everyone hating outlook express? It does have the search feature which I was looking for.

Use Google desktop. have it index your emails.

Then all you have to do is hit Ctrl+Ctrl and type in a few words ex. Dan Gem 321 (something for my work) and it will show you all of the emails that match that.

Very cool software.

OE is just garbage. It is limited. I like Outlook but not express.
