yea its not a 18 issue as only the Q out of the 3 18s i have acess to sounds like that on rock

the others aare a RE XXX, and a RE SX, both of them are fine on the same songs on the same box but the Q is a no go on them

And the Q's tend to like the higher freq. better, and considering the past "install issues" of PESteele I bet its something with the install.....

Shouldn't be playing it that high, just analyzed the song...doesn't go below 43.06hz the 'higher' note is 86.43hz...and the next note is 129.1 hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Motor strength, suspension stiffness, inductance, and moving mass will all play a part in the upper frequency extension.

TO mezzzzz.....

I know my 15" Q does everything I expect it to do. And, I remember from the limited time I had listening to your system the 18" Q did everything I expected from a 18" subwoofer...
