problems with pioneer ipod adapter

Hey guys having some problems with pioneer ipod adapter... its one of the 06 ones with the black box thing..

anyways...the ipod charges fine off the adpater and the head unit is able to receive the information (can change songs and surf ipod via headunit) but for some reason the music won't play. Instead it just makes a static sound...

Dont think its the batt and ground wires cuz otherwise the ipod wouldnt charge and i dont think its the wire going to the head unit cuz otherwise i couldnt access my ipod through the headunit..

make sure that your box-to-ipod cord is in the correct jack. there is an input and an auxilary output with the same type of plug. If its in the output one, it will read your ipod, but not play music.

ya thanks for the advice.. i dobule checked and it is in the "in" slot...

weird...any other ideas?
