problems with my h/u

i have a pioneer #3500. i burnt a cd and one song was skipping then as i went back to this song i couldnt hit the button to change tracks but every so often. within 2 minutes at most i couldnt use any buttons on the cd player. noting was taken apart or messed with. all i can do is turn the vol. up or down. almost as if a portable cd player put on hold. also i think it turned my HPF off and change the eq to something else. anyone know of anything i can do or what could possibly cause this?
