So i have a pioneer headunit and a merlin md1 that right now im using 4 gauge. i have high grade tsunami rca's and a good ground. Im using stock alt and battery since i just got the truck about week and half ago. Problem is the amp is powering on with no protect light but it doesnt produce anything. I have a 600 watt kenwood amp that powers up and produces power. What could be stopping my brand new amp from doing anything. I have already tested the rca which play fine on the kenwood amp.

have you tried grounding the RCA's

also I know you may laugh but... did you make sure the subwoofer channel is set to on, on your pioneer if it has that option?

yeah thing is i have a kenwood amp that i use with the same wiring and i switched it ver and it works fine. I know it is a high current amp so does it need to have 1/0 gauge wiring and upgraded alt.

4 awg should suffice its not that big a current hog. try callin up US Amps yet?

Amp must have been damaged in shipping or something. Take it back to where you got it so they can get it taken care for you. I hope you did not buy it off ebay, Greg will not warranty ebay sales. Greg hates and I mean hates ebay so I really hope you bought if from a dealer off here or in your area.

you can also get a dmm and turn up your volume about half way, then take your multimeter and set it on ac volts then with it on and playing test to see if there is any voltage coming out of the speaker terminals of the amp.

Will you post a picture if the LC2i as it is wired. How did you set the output gains of the LC2i? What is the max voltage gain input on the amplifier?
