Problems with a Python 990 install

I'm having problems with the 508d and 2- 504 sensors on a Python 990. I installed this yesterday in my 1990 300zx. lol everything seems to work correctly minus the sensors. I installed 2- 504 shock sensors "Y" tied off one plug. combined the reds then combined the blacks. then combined the green and blue wires to the blue lead (sensor 1) and combined the green and blue to the green lead (sensor 2) so no diodes were needed.

I ran the 508D proximity sensor to the blue mulitplexed trunk trigger H1/7 by combining the green and blue and used a chassis ground along with a constant 12v.

My problem is the proximity sensor doesn't always set off the alarm. The LEDs on the sensor light up but the alarm doesn't warm or set off so I can't even adjust the zone range. also my shock sensors don't respond well it takes a door slam to set it off. I have 1- 504 sensor double side taped to the floor under the dash and the other 504 sensor (wires extended) by the rear shock tower.

My alarm falses alot and and when I set the alarm then wait 15+ seconds then disarm it I get 3 chirps, the resonder remote displays that sensor 1, impact, and my 508 proximity all were set off. I have since unplugged the 508 prox and my remote and alarm still display the same thing.

Also Is there a way to stop the blinking blue LED while the system is unarmed? Its very annoying while driving at night.

please help me figure this out.

Thanks Jeremy

Sounds like you messed something up, the LED will not flash when the ignition is engaged. As the sensors go, are you running the prox sensor off the (-) trunk circuit. Also, Shock sensor placement is crucial to being effective. To be honest, with 2-way systems. I do not believe in having anything other then a shock sensor, if they get in i know it.

Good luck, maybe try some diodes?

try tying the shock sensors to some stock wireing somewhere in the car that way when the car is bumped they are more likely to shake and go off....It also sounds like you are not getting any ignition input if your led is not turning of and it alwys says the sensors were set off. If you did not use the remote start module you still need to connect the ignition wire to reset your alarm which will sop the blinking led issue and your alarm always saying its been set off..and for your prox sensors it sounds like you are adjust the zones incorectly. Follow the directions in the installation manual for that

THANKS! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! lol I did forget to install the ignition input. I didn't use the remote start //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif So that could be the troubles with why my alarm always says the sensors have gone off when

they haven't?

oh and my car is T-top thats why I have the prox and yeah its ran off the (-) trunk trigger

If you get the yellow wire on the ribbion cable coming out of the brain you can just tie that into ign, makes it nice so you don't have to use the xcrs pack.
