Hello all,
New to the forum. like what ive seen thus far...anyways,
I have a Boston GT-24 powering a Boston G5. Well it is supposed to anyways.I have the amp bridged since it's just running the one G5 and it should handle it no prob. I CANNOT figure out why the amp is stayin in Protect. I know ground is always the first place to look. I've got it mounted down through my trunk with a StreeWires 3-prong ground terminal. So that should be ok right? granted i didn't sand any of the paint away under the terminal, figured 3 contacts via screws would be ok...?
i've replaced the RCA's/ remote wire. checked fuses, adjusted amp and head unit settings and it still seems to have no change.
Is there a chance that for some reason the Impedence is wrong????
My main thought is battery. i was having problems with a draw and seemed to have fixed it but if my battery is on its last leg or is underpowering the amp, could that cause it to stay in protect???? Car starts fine everytime....
ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated guys!!
