So recently my subs started making a popping noise at higher volumes. They start to move a lot then the amp just goes into protect. Its kind of like the noise that RCA cables make right when you plug them into the amp from the deck but I have tried re wiring the subs thinking it may be a loose connection, it wasnt. Tried making sure the RCA's were snug behind the deck and on the amp, the were. I honestly am running out of things to try and nothing is getting solved. They will play fine at lower volumes but when turned up past like 15 they start that crazy moving and popping. Any helps appreciated. Thanks.

and turning down your gain never hurts..

disable any "bass boost" etc on your headunit..

make sure you have a subsonic filter if your box is ported.. and have it set appropriately.

you shoving too much power to the subs, making them bottom out,,,they have met theyre excursion point...turn it down,or get a set of more powerful subs, and rebuild the box if needed
