Problems after doing big 3

I did the big three over the weekend. Yesterday on my way home i blew the fuse going from my atrenator to my battery positive. Now today i only have 11.4 volts with my car started. What could have caused this problem and what could be wrong now? Is it possible that my sytem is draining to much from my car and low voltage caused a problem?

What size was the fuse and what gauge wire did you use?

1/0 wire and 300 amp fuse

make sure u didnt accidentally let the + touch the alts casing, it might have grounded it out

Well, i had it hooked up for a couple days and everything was fine. I was thinking that it was because of low voltage because i was playing my system pretty loud when it happened. So, might be that there was low voltage. Is it possible for the low voltage to blow a fuse and would it damge anything?

maybe, im not sure, but make sure like i said that the + coming from your alt didnt accidentally touch the alts casing and short out, i did it myself is why i say look for that

Ok, i will look at that. But it shouldnt have tojuched anything because i have tape all around the terminal.

Jk, you said your voltage was low as well? You didnt REPLACE your factory grounds with new ones did you, but just added in addition to the stock ones right?

Right, i did not remove any stock wiring i just added on to them.

Well, my car completely died tonight. I had it jump started and it went back to the normal voltage but died wihtin 30 seconds. Would this be a problem with the battery or the alternator?

Your best bet would be to take the car in or remove the alt and have it tested at like canadian tire, PB, ect....

It is free of charge to have it tested.

Your battery should be fine cause if you can get the car running it will not die cause a dead battery.

But will if your alt just took a dump.
