Pro/Cons to?

NO problems as long as they're protected from rubbing against the body/frame and hitting the ground for any reason.

Drag cars do it all the time, but they don't street cruise of course, so usually no pot holes to deal with.

Get some of the factory style clamps that will hold it in place and screw/bolt to the frame or body.

You could go all out and cover it with rubber heater hose as it's pretty cheap at most auto stores.

Well, I have a bunch of pvc tubing, that my power wire would fit perfectly in (not too big, not too small), and it can easily be painted to match the car. I have some 90degree elbows that will work for proper routing. The reason I'm asking, is because I'm buying a second battery, and I don't want to waste my time with having to take out all the interior just to run a couple of wires for it.

imo pvc pipe is overkill... it should be fine covered in split-loom and secured every 14" or so with insulated clamps

ive you've already got the pvc layin around tho im sure it wouldnt hurt

and of course, fuse it and use grommets and there should be no problems

Yeah, I know the pvc is a little overkill, but I have had some wires ran under my cars before, protected by some simple split loom, and well if i scrape the ground (low car, bound to happen) that split loom won't hold up as well. I do have it layin' around and no split loom at hand, so this is probably my best bet, trying to save some money. I have to buy some grommets, but not sure where to buy them from?

you don't have to gut the entire interior to run the wire, only the panels along one side which takes 5 minutes at most. I'd go that route as then you'll never have to worry about it....

But if you do run it under the car NO wire should be lower then the lowest part of the frame, so no chance of scraping on anything.

Im running dual 2/0 wires, its like trying to fit two small garden hoses behind my interior panels. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Running under the truck is my only real option. Im gonna run the wire inside the frame rail, each run with its own flexible liquitight conduit, strapped together. Bulkheads through the sheetmetal.
To the OP, like said before me... when done correctly, running under the vehicle is fine.
