Pro 60 replacements.

well im pretty sure i fucked up my pro 60's.

they crackle and pop and rattle and shit.

so what do i do now?

do i buy a new set, or is there something better out there for roughly the same price?

ive got an Orion 8002 for power.

Well we all know I'm going to reccomend Morel, so I'll throw the Elate 6's out there as an option.

The Pro 6's are very nice speakers for the money. But since your in the situation...You might as well try a different set, and hey if you do not like them, you can always sell them on here! So if you liked the Boston, depending on your price range, you may want to check out, Dynaudio, Morels, Rainbows, DLS, and if you do not want to change, the new Pro 6s I hear sound way better than the old Z6's, which IMO were one of the sets out there that were very hard to beat.

If you were happy with the Pros, stick with them. Why mess with a good thing. Though, given all this recent talk about the Pro vs. Z6, I went out and did some listening today. I can't say that I agree. I think the Z6 still sounds better. Of course, that was on a soundboard, so your mileage may vary. Tweeter/Sound Advice seemed to be dropping Boston. They were blowing out all their remaining stock at the two locations I visited. Might be worth looking into if there's one of those in your area.
