How many entrants on average per show? Entrance fee? Percentage of fee you want to pay out?

The rule will be 5 or more entry's then $10 per entry will go into the pot. Entry fee would be $30.

Then I would do a stepped thing:

5-xx entries first only gets cash

xx-yy entries first and second

yy-zz top three get cash.

Make sure that first at least gets entry fee plus some back, second maybe gets entry fee back and if enough people are there third gets 10 or 20 back.
