primerica????

Why was their coverage bad? Who is "we." This is out of curiosity.
Because the prices were twice as high as a more well-known and financially-rated company. If you could pay $2000 for the same coverage with a better company that you're currently paying $3500 for, wouldn't you do it? "We" is our financial company. I'm an independent agent. We work with 50+ companies and just offer the client the best price/company amongst them with no pressure to sign up with any single carrier. Open your eyes and you'll find this is the best way to approach the industry. Granted, it is not easy to be an independent agent without someone to help you out getting started, but it is still the best way to go about the business.

I agree that your suggestion is a good approach when looking for the lowest cost provider. I too can find the lowest prices among the competition, this doesn't mean that the lower price is the best option. Do I use Progressive or the Inshur ur Ride place located in the hut in front of the local Pic-N-Save? Using your example, which btw I have never come across a gap in price that large when comparing two of the same policies, I would agree that changing providers would be a wise decision.

I would still like to know who "we" is.

I do not believe anyone has structured an argument yet that can discredit this company or the one you work for. If you want to base your argument on price please do, but at a minimum make it a solid one. As far as me opening my eyes, in my opinion and 32 years of life, I do believe I have them wide open. More so than most.

As a matter of fact, I do not know any company that is any good where you need to pay them to start working. Don't you work so they can pay you?

Dave
Tell that to the Real Estate Agents, Lawyers, Private Practice Doctors, Optomatrists, Hair stylists, Barbers, Dentists, and pretty much anyone else who is in business for themselves.

If you're finding Primerica as your lowest cost option, I'd question which software you're using. Compulife will easiliy show several other more reputable companies with better prices for the same coverage in most cases. "We" is the financial company that I work for, like I said. I don't need to provide a link because I don't need the website flooded with fake emails and quotes.

I can't find anywhere in my post that even remotely eluded to them being a low cost provider. I was using a fictitious example very similar to the one you used to make the point that the low cost provider is rarely close to capable of being a competitor with a similar product with any level of staying power. Equal coverage does not always mean that the specifics of the policy and limitations on payouts are taken into consideration. You should know this.

What does your computer program take into account? Is it comprehensive enough to differential between more than 5 or 6 criteria? Then find the lowest cost provider. I am trying to refrain from assuming that it does not, but I want to know from you.

I can respect you not wanting to post now. I wouldn't want to either.

It's not a large company, it's me and my dad.
Cool! Props to you and your dad for striking your own trail. I hope to do so myself when school is done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What software are you using? I would like to research its capabilities on my own.

Compulife....though it may only be distributed by the brokerage company we use. I don't know if other companies use it. I do know the only companies that pop up are those that the brokerage company sells products for, so that could be why...not really sure. Yes, I understand there are many specifics to a policy and not just the face value or term length, but any of the top carriers (American General, ING Reliastar, West Coast Life, Banner Life, etc) all generally have the same provisions save for a select few special cases. There's obviously an element of knowing which products offer what features when selling for multiple companies, but the likely scenario is that one of 50+ companies will have something better to offer than a single company pushing its own products.
