Price Increase

I just curious why the price has gone up on basically all sundown items. Is this increase brief because of tax season or are they the going to be permanent? I saw it this morning when I was looking at purchasing an NSV3 18 and a SCV4k. I follow sundown on fb and didn't see any update or them mention anything about prices going up. Between just those 2 things I would be spending an extra $300 than I would have before the increase. That money could have been used for an extra battery or alt. Just wondering what the deal is with this.

2016 prices go up.
Although acouple days ago on sundown audio website nsv3 10" was $829 and now it's $1075 so yes what happened there?
Well if prices go up then quality needs to go up. Not that sundown doesn't make good stuff already, but just because the year changes shouldn't effect prices. I will be getting the same woofer and amp that 2015 offered. Doesn't really make any sense without any advancements on those products.

We have an entirely new 2016 price sheet for all dealers & distributors -- this is a permanent change and not some sort of "gouging" technique for tax refunds season.

The NS v.3 10" was $829 last year and $859.99 this year -- the $1075 is MSRP (which OUR web-site now displays rather than MAP -- online dealers, of course, are still listing MAP).

MAP has changed the most on items towards the high-end.

You will note as you get towards the middle / mid-high-end changes in price are minor -- and some are lower; SA series went down from 2015 on the 8/10/12 sizes, Z v.3 went down, Z v.4 & X v.2 are the same within 10 bucks other than units equipped with our new 18" frame, etc, etc.

Any item with the NEW 18" frame did change the most of any sub-woofer product. I re-did all of my math on those & they were under-priced compared to where they needed to be.

The TEAM series and the 6000D/7500D amps are the only items that changed what I'd consider a substantial amount on the MAP side otherwise.

There are many reasons for issuing new pricing -- not the least of which being a ~5% jump in FedEx rates for 2016 (small package & freight) as the majority of our business is shipped for "free" (e.g. we pay for it) to dealers & distributors placing big orders. Around 5% of the total GROSS sales we make goes to "free" shipping. In some cases I've managed to get my costs DOWN such as with the SA-8/10/12 drivers so I was able to pass that on. It works both ways.

Haha... and for reference; the TEAM-18 at the MAP price is $1559.99 (our web-site displays MSRP).

My goal is also to keep the price the same on the TEAM line when I drop the full v.2 NEO version as well.

Dang, I should've gone for the team series back when I had money and they were cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Here is a handy guide since there seems to be hysteria on Facebook over the price changes (haha).

Notice... MOST data points are very similar -- until you get to the TEAM subs, subs with the new 18" frame, and bigger amps -- plus there are quite a few decreases.

You should start doing removable tops so we can buy a subwoofer and just unscrew/bolt and swap from 10"-18" tops somewhat like the older tc sounds/audio pulse... Would be AWESOME!

Thanks for the breakdown. I might just get a ZV5 18 instead of an NSV3. I know they were due to come out in June sometime. Has a price been set on those?
