It is a northstar but its mounted opposite of how GM mounts them in Caddilacs. The belts are on the left, not the right.

The valve covers are also painted

I've seen LT1's in fieros, Northstars in fieros (one with a custom widebody kit and NOS!!!! NOOOOOOSSSSSSS!), tons of 3800's in fieros (really the best option as it doesn't add that much weight over the 2.8)((I've seen some insane supercharged ones...)

I used to have a fiero... you know they actually have car shows just for fieros.... mine was pretty gay, but it was fun to turn...
