I really didnt think I needed the amount of bass two 10" subs provided so I switched from 2 10" RE subs to a single 10"db-500 and wow am I impressed.

The RE's were getting 400 watts each and the single db-500 is getting 800 watts bridged on my RAA2400 and it hits as hard as both RE's did.

For $70 shipped(what I paid or $100 retail) these subs are a pretty **** good bargain. Now I am wondering what two, maybe three db-500's would be like in my car.

I'm glad they are OOS right cause I might have bought 1-2 more this weekend if they werent;)

Oh ya and the SQ is amazing. The RE's sounded excellent, but this db-500 is titters compared to them and it is still in a prefab box

i am about sq, not spl so i have no idea if it is considered loud or not. it is in a sealed prefab box so i am sure it isnt as loud as it could be

i just know the single 10" has almost as much, if not the same output as the two RE 10" did and it is enough for me

although i am considering adding another now and i dont know why:(

What kind and size box are you running them in? I am thinking of buying a 12" because they have them and selling my old
I run mine in 2.0 each, tuned to 32 hz.

I'm going to go sealed though shortly, probably somehwere between 1.25 and 1.5 each soon.

Oh, just for future reference. Put $800 OBO, or you will only get that $600, or less. ;)

The 8's have a frequency response of 40hz and up. So I would cross them over at 60hz and up. And crossover my subs at 80hz. That way I would get a...
