2 18" Mach 5 MAW, or 1 15" alpine type R ????

after all the Hype R' stuff lol.. We just have to admit they do get ***n LOUD !!!

Now, here is what I am considering doing. I either want to go two 18" Mach 5 MAW , or 1 15" Alpine type R.

What would get louder ??? My Orion HCCA 250 puts out 800Wrms @ 1ohm.

I got plenty of space //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so thats not a problem.

I watched TCAB's video of that single alpine type R hitting 150 (((IF THAT WASNT FAKE BULL SH*T))) then I am impressed. Otherwise I am very skeptical of that, because its very hard to hit that kind of a number without hitting a sub with some Kwatts.

Please any experiance on the 15" type r would be appreciated.

THe only problem with the two 18" MAW's is I can only get a 2 ohm load bridged from them, and I wouldnt be hitting their true RMS with them.. Ide port big enough to try to lower their RMS value and compensate etc..

or you can do 2 MAW-15's ported with 800 watts. I think that will hit very nicely.

OK two MJ-18 SVC4ohm that is 2ohm that is 400Wrms 200W pr sub that is

not enough power for a mj-18 but if you get the MAW-15 it's DVC4ohm

so if you get two you can get a 1ohm load and that's 400Wrms pr sub

and that is enough power for a MAW-15. I think that two MAW-15 will be louder

than two mj-18 with that power/ohm load

dude you will be happier with two maw-15 ( with that amp) than you will

with two mj-18 the 18" will be asleep the maw-15 wont

(with that amp) maw-15>mj-18
