Prefab... dumb?

I am curious.

If Atrend claim to make good prefab boxes, why do they keep people from obtaining information about their stuff from their website? It gives only the most basic information, and they apparently never respond to emails either.

All I asked was the tuning of the box SPL-12DV, and nothing...

Ridiculous. Definitely wanted it, but it's probably not worth it. :/

Atrend is sick, a lot of people around here have them cause they are local to us. They didn't respond to a couple of my emails either and I called em up, and dude told me to check my spam folder and sure enough the emails were there. My guess is that enclosure is tuned to something between 38-42 HZ its strictly for SPL , not range Call them up they have a toll free number Atrend Contact Us

yeah most prefab ported boxes are tuned to 38-40 hertz. correct me if i'm wrong btu this is based on reading reviews and my own calculations. i have a prefab sealed box, but i would never ever buy a prefab ported unless i needed something quick and cosmetically sufficient for a cheap setep

Nothing wrong with prefabs as long as it's a quality sealed enclosure 3/4. But I would never trust a ported enclosure. They most likely will be tuned way to high and not have nearly enough port space

their are some NICE prefabs on ebay. they have kerf port also which are tuned to 35 and the other company has from what ive seen 38-30 and these are solid looking boxs, they are just a lil pricy. i can post link if wanted.

And nearly every single post you make is, "hey, look at this Atrend box, they're awesome..." with a link to their site as well. Why would you go through all of this trouble posting in so many threads if you weren't affiliated with them in some way? I like a lot of stuff I've used, but I certainly don't make it a point to go out of my way to link to Company A's site in almost every post I make.

Actually I am affiliated with Atrend because I like their products and I’m a fan. Guess who else I’m affiliated with… Alpine, Kicker, JL Audio, Mmatts, MTX, Treo, Rockford Fosgate, Diamond Audio, Hifonics (amps), etc… As you obviously know of all the companies listed Atrend is the one that makes boxes, sure JL has the stealth boxes, and some of the others offer loaded enclosures but you know what I mean. Anyway dude, I’m just offering my opinion and I know about boxes I don’t build or design them if I did perhaps my opinion would be different and I could offer my services to begin a lucrative career selling box designs on internet forums, but I’m not that talented. Like I said this is a forum for enclosures and design so I’m just offering my opinion and talking about what I do know. If you’re really worried about people pitching companies then maybe you should lead by example and stop promoting Ram Designs and telling people to PM do you can sell box designs to them (personally I don’t have a problem with it, but i guess if im not pitcihng Ram Designs then you have a problem with it). Seriouslly dude, your the one on here trying to sell something to people, i'm not selling anything. I'm just offering my opinon, hell i'm telling people they should just copy Atrend's design if they know how to build a box and their looking for a quick and easy solution.
