I have been looking at this amp from PPI for a while, but I can't decide if there is something better out there to get. The model is the ppi 4480 and it is priced for $250, do you think this is a good investment or not?

How about a 4200AM a little less power but I think the AM series is better than the PC or PCX series your looking. There is one on ebay right now..

I am assuming it is putting out about 50w x 4, I am looking for something that puts out a little more wattage per channel (anywhere from 80 x 4 to 120 x 4) so I can maximize my speakers potential. I want my sound to be loud and clear at the same time. Any other suggestions you might have, let me know.
