old school all day long. dont trust it if it wasnt made in the USA.....
Well then you might as well throw your radio, wiring, interconnects, tweets, midranges, midbasses, batteries, sub amp, subwoofer, and deadening in the garbage, because they probably werent produced in America either. On top of that, why not trash your entire computer since that was not built in this country either?
Just because something is new and made in another country doesnt mean its necessarily junk. You people sound just as bad as the shops you make fun of who say every product is junk unless its JL, Rockford, Kicker, Alpine, or any other mainstream product they push.
Now as for an answer that could possibly be somewhat helpful to the OP, I recently bought a set of PPI Art series 6.5" comps to put in my truck so I had some speakers to sell it with. For $70 shipped, they sound pretty **** good. Build quality was good for the price I paid, and the features were great. Bi-ampable crossovers, and the mids themselves are convertible from components to coaxials, with a replacement machines aluminum phase plug if you decide to run as a component set. I am quite impressed with the sound out of such a cheap product. If the amp is anything like the speakers, expect a solid amp for the price. May not be the best amplifier the world has ever seen, nor does it reinvent the wheel, but it will get the job done for the price point you are in. Also, with 2 30a fuses, the power ratings being true are possible. Now having fusing that allows the rms to be possible does not make the ratings true, but definitely makes it a possibility. On top of that, it has a great THD and S/N ratio for an amp of that price range. Dont believe the whole idea of "dirty" power. If the amplifier is set properly and not overdriven, you will not be able to tell the difference between company A's watt and company B's watt. Anybody else who tells you any different is a moron who is blinded by a company's name or mystique.
If youre looking for a solid amp at that price level, Id say its definitely worth a shot.
