Precision Power PCX 1250 monoblock?

They are **** good amps. Much better than the shit they came out with for 05. You could wire it down to 1 ohm, my cuzin ran the same amp at .75 ohms and it didnt have ne issues.

Not sure about the user above me and his comment about running at lower impendance...

From my experiences, they are very solid amps. They put out their rated power and then some. However, the PCX-1250 is NOT 1 ohm stable IIRC nor do I think the protection circuitry even let you run it at such.

Only gripe is that they tend to get hot to the touch and it is a good idea to have some airflow over them or allow them to breath a little.

Its not "1 ohm stable", but i will handle it from my experience.

I have to say the same on this point. My old PPI used to get very hot to the touch. That was when they had that nice shiny chrome looking cover though.

Well thanks for the input fellas i picked one up off ebay for 175 total no shipping, i was like eh what the hell why not... Hope it sounds good im sure it will i have a PCX250 and its a very solid clean sounding give no trouble at all amp....

thanks again for the input.

I have a PCX 2400 that i ran bridged at 4 ohm and it was beautiful. 1600rms bridged at 4 ohm (12 volts). who knows what it would do at ~14.4. not using it anymore though. i picked up two ed nine.1s. strapped at 14.4 volts im hoping to get around 3000 rms to two SX 15s. trying to get rid of the pcx right now. dont know how much to sell it for. retail is 1400 which is outrageous. i paid 700 for one brand new which hurt my pockets but i was extremely pleased with it.
