Good amp, yes. i prefer the older powerclass amps, the PCX is toward the end of the good run of powerclass PPI amps. He is asking a TON for it though!!!!!

Even 450$ is high. Only powerclass I will buy for $450 would be a chrome powerclass.

Is the amp still NIB? If so, that's a good price, but you can still knock him down to $350, I'm sure. $450 for a used one is still a decent price...they tend to go for that all day on ebay.

I think 350 would be a good buy.

It's hard to get them for that price, if they're new or in good shape. Those big Power Class 2 channels really hold their value.

If its bramd new $450 would be a good price...thats about $200 less than most new ones go for

thanks so far guys, im still undecided if i want to get this amp, its quite big , it would be used to power a set of focal polyglass components in my tundra, and amps i was already looking at to do that job are the jl hd600/4,pdxf6,arc ks300.4 to name a few but those would all be over the price point this ppi is at. would the ppi potentially sound better and have more headroom? i noticed on the spec sheet the thd is .02% which is lower then a couple of my listed amps. it is the chrome one btw heres a link to the ad if anyone cares.

i love my ppi's...and i agreee that the pcx are the last good series ever made.

I personally wouldnt pay more than 300, but if its flawless than $350 isnt too bad I guess.

i might try and lowball the guy, still wanting more feeback on it tho, how will it compare to some newer smaller amps.?

bassaddict, i actually sold that sd8k june of '10 it was alright, im very glad i sold it tho, reading alot of people having problems over on caco with them.
