OK, i am using the PSP Inc calculator.

Volume of Box in Cubic Feet: 2

Tuning frequency 32

Port diameter 4

Number of Ports 1

Straight Length Port required 13.61

Flare Length Port required 14.61

now i am a bit of a newb at this enclosure designing. but to sum it up i would need a 4" flare with a 12" center peice. and cut the center piece down to 8.61"?

well to be honest i was just going by the measurments tuan stated in his FS section.

I have about 60 brand new 4" Precision Ports for sale. I purchased this for a my buddy for a huge project and these are left overs. They are all brand new. They come with one inner and one outer flare. They also come with 2 rings and a 12" center piece. The entire set put together is 18" total from end to end.
$9 each plus shipping. The price is firm unless you're planning on buying a huge quantity. Lowball offering pm's will not be answered.

Each flare would be 3" then. IMO the psp calculator its pretty accurate. Ive used it plenty of times, so a 8.61 of a center piece should do it.

Jus dont glue the flare/center piece to the connector rings. I did that when i first bought some, bit a of a noob mistake.lol

the psp calc is for total length. put the 12" piece in and measure how tall that is, THEN cut what you need to make the correct length. I don't know about overlap in psp ports.

just the center piece? or with the flare and attachments and then measure...?

i knew thats what you were going to say!! basically my math is correct(to an extent) but i need to take account for wood thickness.

8.61 + .75 = 9.36 is what i'll need to cut to

you doing internal or external port? did you figure displacment for the port in the wood?

internal. i thought the the volume spot on calculator was the desired cu ft without port

so no i didnt take that to account..whats the formula, pi*r^2/1728?
