Pre-Amp?

Since getting my 160 iPod, I've not got my entire music collection stored on it. The only problem with iPod playback is that the signal level is reduced drastically. I want to be able to just basically go iPod only in my car, but I'm not willing to do that if I cannot raise the signal level so my sound actually sounds good.

Any suggestions for a head unit and some sort of pre-amp designed specifically for the iPod?

Didn't really know which forum to put this in, so I threw it in general since it covers more than one area.

I know Alpine offers an iPod to Ai-net adapter cable, so any Alpine head that has ai-net should work using the adapter.
