prayer request - friend in ATV accident - please read

One of my good friends from back home, Wesley, got into a fourwheeler accident last Sunday. He was pronounced dead at the scence, but was revived after being given CPR by a bystander. He is messed up pretty bad, but is gonna be fine. His injuries include a broken back, broken arm, shattered shoulder, punctured lungs, broken ribs and his spinal cord is broken. He was in ICU but was moved down to a less severe state earlier today. As I said before, he is going to be fine. He should be back home in a few weeks but will probably be laid up there for a few months until the ribs and lungs heal. Please keep him in his family in your prayers as he is going to have a long recovery, thank you.

I'll pray for ya. My buddy was drunk and @ 4th gear pinned w/out a helmet hit sideways on my buddy Scott's ford ranger door. He almost died. I know how ya feel man. I'll hope for the best.

i agree... those things, motorcyles, and jetskis can get you f'ed up in a hurry...

Was the ATV ok? Just a joke, don't take that part seriously.

I've been riding ATV's for a while, and it still scares the shit out of me to be doing 70-80mph on one.Going over 40-50 on one, one twitch or decent sized bump/dip that you're not prepared for, you're ****ed.People think it's all fun and games, but you really have to be careful.

if his spinal cord is broken, along with his back....i dont see him "being okay" best of luck to him, but god doesnt exist so dont worry with praying. just wish him luck.

He was wearing a helmet, which saved his life. A kid was heading towards him from the opposite direction, who cut across in front of him and got hit. The other kid was killed instantly, while my friend was thrown off. he still has no idea what happened, or that the other kid was killed, which is going to be tough for him to deal with when he starts getting well enough to be told what happened. I am up in Tallahassee right now at school, and won't be able to see him until I go home in a couple of weeks, but everything I've heard is from a friend who visited him in the hospital. As far as the spinal cord, my friend said it was broken, but it may have just been damaged, I'm not sure. He said he can't feel his arm, but the feeling should come back when the muscles start to heal. I'm sure if he was paralyzed he would have said something, he is supposed to make a full recovery. Thank you all for your prayers.

Saywhat?, I'm sorry that you feel that way, I personally have seen God's miracles time and time again. I'll be praying for you as well that you will be able to find Him somehow. If you've never given it a chance, try it out and see what happens, I'm sure you will be suprised.

I ride ATV's all the time, and often with my little 6 and 7 year old cousins and I can't ignore the risk thats always in the back of my mind when riding these things. I've seen a few accidents but nothing like this...

I hope he recovers, and quickly at that. It sucks to live in pain.

Any idea how fast he was going?
