i need to kno if 2 12" se's with 550 watts a piece will get pretty loud. i dont really have the money for the sx's. and i like it loud. dB numbers would b nice

depends on how good you are at installing.

they could either be loud or not loud.

Anyways, about 550 on each should get the nice and loud, only thing is that the SE is centered for SQ. It not going to bring in those huge numbers that your looking for. For those definately an SX would be in order.

A good sub for your application would probably be 2 Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections. They are currently on backorder from IA until 05 but I know who will be getting the 1st shipments of them if your interested. -PZ-

its true though... while a better woofer is going to do better in comparable installs, a better install is going to improve more than a better woofer in most cases.

Hey man in all reality 2 RE SE 12's with 550 a piece if you port them will be plenty loud. Be sure to tune that box to like 35hz and you will be very please maybe not 150db but pleased.

perhaps you missed the point of what i said(although i never intended to open this can of worms, or an argument of anykind)... i never said that a different woofer is not going to be louder/sound better/cure cancer. i said that the way it is installed is going to make more of a difference than the woofer itself.

Then, we'll take that RFL and throw it in a 10^3' box w/ like 200^2" of port....

The question asked as "will it be loud", not "how can I make them loud" or "what would make them loud". The question was general, so a general answer fits.

BTW, the sub in that link is nothing special. It's a regular Shocker Sig with a NEO version of the HP4 motor. It's no better than the other, just lighter and easier to mount.
