People, 2 amps head to head what do you think.

Soundstream 1000s or PPI pc2600?

Please let me know, I want to run a pair of 12s in a sealed enclosure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I am running some older Alpine Type Rs I think, havent messed with that car in a minute. So i think they are both 4ohm. I was thinking of getting some new subs, box has about .85 cubes internal for each. I see that the new alpines seem pretty good, or maybe some rockfords, I havent been in this game for a while.

Reference or Rubicon and what ohms you running at???

its a reference 1000s. Right now I am running the PPI. The Soudstream has a blown channel, I fried an old speaker and blew the channel, so I am considering sending out to get fixed. If so, I may be interested in switching up the subz, but the box needs to remain the same, the car has the system built in already. I liked the idea of having matching PPI amps. I used to have 2 chrome Soudstream, Picasso and 5.0, got stolen, bastards. But now I am thinking the Soudstream will give me more bass.

had a tarantula fry on me. but typically both are well built. go for the cheaper of the two if your on a budget.
Thanks. I have both amps. I am thinking the soundstream, since it has more power. Just got to get the right speakers. I dont know if these type Rs are going to do the trick. They are a bit older. I think I got them in 02.

SS Ref 1000 has more power of course its got 400 over the PPI so its really up to your decision on paying to fix the SS or save the $$$ and use the PPI.

They're both quality built amps either one is great IMO.
