You're going to love this. I finally talked my friend into upgrading from "Boss" and Dual subs, to a Kicker S12L7 and also a PPI PC2150(rated 600 watts). Well the PC2150 does no less than 1200 actual watts at 4 ohms. Well he isn't the most knowledgable installer and instead of wiring it series to 4 ohms, he wired it paralell at 1 ohm. He nonintentionally bridged the PPI down to 1 ohm and it lasted for three weeks till he fried the sub. It was pushing more than 4000 watts.
The cool thing about this story is that the PPI is still going strong even though its only "stable" at 4 ohms. He blew the heck out of the L7 but the PPI is fine
